Hello CMSA Families,
Tomorrow night, we come together for the Crossfield Minor Soccer Association Annual General Meeting, and we hope you will join us.
Thursday, October 1, 2026
6:00 PM
Crossfield Community Centre
Ahead of the meeting, we are pleased to share our 2026 CMSA Annual General Meeting Report:
2026 CMSA Annual General Meeting Report
This year's report is about much more than reviewing another soccer season.
Over the past several years, CMSA has continued to evolve from a simple community soccer program into a club with greater structure, purpose and substance—while remaining 100% volunteer run and firmly rooted in Crossfield.
Inside the report, you'll see the story of that development, including:
Our continued growth and increasing participation in the girls' game
Developmental, competitive and Academy programming
Our coaching philosophy and investment in coach development
The launch of our Youth Leadership Program
Girls Power Weekend and our commitment to creating opportunities for girls in sport
Community engagement, partnerships and sponsorship
Our response to the 2026 FIFA World Cup and what we learned as we look toward the 2027 Women's World Cup
The people and volunteers working behind the scenes
Financial stewardship and planning for the future
The four pillars guiding our decisions: Integrity, Family & Community, Club, and Development & Growth
Most importantly, the report looks at where CMSA is going next.
We want Crossfield to have more than a place where kids simply register for soccer each spring. We are working to build a sustainable community club where players can develop, coaches are supported, families belong, young people can become leaders, and children are given opportunities to write their own stories through the game.
As CMSA continues to grow, so does the responsibility of operating it.
At tomorrow night's AGM, we need members of our community to step forward for two important Board positions:
Treasurer
Secretary
Filling these positions is necessary for CMSA to maintain the Board structure required under our bylaws and, just as importantly, ensures the work of running the club is shared among a strong group of volunteers.
You do not need to be a soccer expert.
You need to care about our community, believe in creating opportunities for our kids and be willing to contribute your voice and time to helping CMSA continue moving forward.
If you've ever wondered how you could become more involved, tomorrow night is a great place to start.
Please take some time to look through the AGM Report before the meeting. We are incredibly proud of what our volunteers, coaches, families, players, sponsors and community partners have helped build—and we are excited about what comes next.
We hope to see you tomorrow night.
Building More Than Players.
Helping kids become the heroes of their own soccer stories.
