Missed the Coach Meet & Greet? Here’s How to Get Involved

Apr. 11, 2026

As we gear up for an exciting 2026 outdoor soccer season with Crossfield Minor Soccer Association, we want to thank all the parents who attended our recent Coach Meet & Greet at the Crossfield Library.

If you weren’t able to join us—no problem. We’ve made it easy for you to catch up and still be part of something truly special this season.

Why Parent Coaches Matter

At CMSA, we are proudly a 100% volunteer-driven club. That means everything we do—from organizing teams to running practices—relies on the support of parents like you.

Parent coaches are the heart of our club:

  • They create a fun, safe, and positive environment for kids
  • They help build confidence, friendships, and life skills
  • They keep soccer accessible and affordable for all families
  • Most importantly, they help ensure that every child gets the chance to play

Without enough coaches, teams simply cannot take the field.

Watch the Presentations

To support families who couldn’t attend, we’ve created two presentations that walk you through everything you need to know about coaching with CMSA.

Developmental Program (U3-U9)

Perfect for parents new to coaching or those with younger players.

This session covers:

  • The CMSA Way and our player-first philosophy
  • Age-appropriate coaching focused on fun and development
  • Simple session structure (we provide the plans!)
  • How we support you every step of the way

Competitive Program (U9+)

For parents interested in coaching teams that play within the district.

This session includes:

  • Introduction to team structure and game play
  • Balancing development and competition
  • Supporting players with skills, confidence, and decision-making
  • Continued focus on the CMSA philosophy—development always comes first

“I’ve Never Coached Before…”

That’s completely okay—and very common.

At CMSA:

  • You are not expected to be a soccer expert
  • You will receive full support, guidance, and ready-made session plans
  • We’ll be on the field with you to help
  • You’ll be part of a team behind the teams

All we ask is that you bring:

  • Energy
  • Positivity
  • A willingness to learn alongside the kids

Be Part of the Experience

This is more than just coaching—it’s a chance to:

  • Be part of your child’s soccer journey
  • Create lasting memories
  • Help shape a positive community experience for all players

As we finalize teams, we are still looking for parents who are ready to step forward and help lead.

Ready to Get Involved?

If you’re interested in coaching or want to learn more after watching the presentations, we’d love to hear from you.

Final Thought

Every great soccer experience starts with someone stepping forward.

This season, that someone could be you.

Let’s build something special together—because at CMSA, it’s always about the players, the families, and the community we create around the game.
